Femtosecond Laser Etching
Femtosecond lasers are ultra-short pulse lasers (1 fs = 10⁻¹⁵ seconds) with extremely high peak power and energy density. They can directly ionize materials without a re-melted layer, minimizing thermal impact during etching and enabling ultra-high processing quality.
Key Functions of Surface Structuring
•Reduced friction / lubricant retention
•Diffractive structures for optical applications
•Micro-mold processing (light guide plates, injection molds, pad printing plates, etc.)
•Custom surface roughness
•Hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties
•Precise marking
Advantages of Femtosecond Laser Etching
•High precision & consistency: Processes micro-features as small as 10µm or smaller, with depth error controlled at the micron level
•Excellent sidewall verticality: Optimized energy distribution and scanning path maintain minimal taper even at 1:1 aspect ratio
•Flat bottom quality: Advanced scanning strategy ensures uniform energy, avoiding bottom irregularities
•Fine surface finish: No craters or burrs, Ra≤0.2μm, guaranteeing structural integrity and strength
•High controllability: Precisely controls the geometry and arrangement of microstructures
Covers bearings, piston rings, gears, artificial joints, thrust bearings and other fields. As a sub-micron surface texturing tool, it not only solves the processing challenges of super-hard materials like ceramics but also provides industrial equipment with low-friction, long-life and high-efficiency solutions through "cold processing" that requires no post-treatment.

Key industries such as papermaking, printing and dyeing rely heavily on the support and conduction of rollers. Surface texturing is crucial for improving performance. Traditional tools (CNC milling, EDM, chemical etching) are limited by tools and struggle to process high-quality microstructures on micro-rollers and curved surfaces—femtosecond lasers precisely address this industry pain point.

Blind Hole Etching
Blind holes are micro-holes visible only on one side, drilled to a specific depth, and are high-difficulty processing tasks. Femtosecond lasers achieve micron-level precision, accurately controlling hole diameter, depth and bottom morphology. The processed edges are clean and neat, with no recast layer, molten residue or carbonization. It enables high-quality cold processing for both metals (e.g., copper) and insulating dielectrics (PI, LCP, FR4, etc.).
